Our Olive Trees

Ogliarola di Lecce and Cellina di Nardò are the two native varieties of Salento.
The two varieties have in common big and rough trunks and small and turgid fruits that resist well to parasites attacks .  But they are very different regarding the taste of the oil extracted from them.

Ogliarola di Lecce is the body variety, it gives oil rich in polyphenol, thick and dense, with a characteristic flavour of wild chicory and tomato twig.

Cellina di Nardò is sweeter, its oil is fine, palatable with notes of banana and berries, but then it explodes in the mouth with a burst of uncommon natural antioxidants.

Our family owns about ten hectares of olive trees, mostly secular ones, we keep them with care and love with organic and regenerating agriculture.
